    Q. My baby is 11 weeks old. Is Sleep Magic right for him? 

    Sleep Magic (3-12 months) months is designed for babies up to 12 months, and emphasizes gentle parenting based on your baby's needs - so yes, the techniques and theory are suited to a baby just shy of 3 months. For babies younger than this, I would recommend Sleep Magic for 0-3 months. 


    Q. Does your program use sleep training techniques like cry-it-out?

    No. Sleep Magic is NOT a sleep training program, as new babies are too young for techniques that attempt to drastically change their sleep. Sleep Magic offers a gentle, loving approach to sleep, based on the principles of gentle parenting and secure attachment. I will never encourage you to let your baby cry alone or teach your baby to self-settle. 


    Q. So many sleep programs promise to be gentle but still expect me to let my baby cry. What can I expect with Sleep Magic?

    At no time will I ever suggest you let your baby cry. I cover a range of techniques to help your baby sleep and all involve gentle, no cry measures. Although they take time, there are plenty of strategies to improve sleep that don't involve your baby crying. I'll walk you through them and you pick what's right for you. 


    Q. Will Sleep Magic help my baby sleep through the night?

    Because babies are designed to wake in the night, this program doesn't attempt to change this biologically normal behaviour. However, once you understand baby sleep, solve some common sleep dilemmas and implement strategies for healthy, long-lasting sleep, your baby will sleep better - as will you.
     

    Q. Does Sleep Magic require my baby to be on a strict routine?

    Rigid routines aren't for everyone, which is why I encourage you to come up with your own personalised routine deigned just for you and your circumstances. It's possible for routines to be useful yet fun and relaxing at the same time!
